Much of what I'm about to say is going to be oxymoronic but that's okay. I like the idea of being an ox (big, strong, dumb but lovable) and am not afraid of being called a moron (yet again).
I've chosen to believe that many, if not most of the current Republican administrations across the country are due to rigged, controlled elections. I believe this because I also believe in the basic decency and goodness of people. You see, the American public has been too well-informed of the ruthless, savage greed that drives the current architects of the Republican party. So it just does't follow that caring, honest people would willingly elect men and women who espouse this party's line as their leaders.
When national leaders do heinous things, people are quick to call them evil. What Hitler did in his time was beyond any words our language can describe in it's vileness yet it could be argued that his motive was noble-he truly believed that the German people were the master race and not only did they deserve to rule the world but the rest of the world would benefit from it as well. It appears that George W. Bush is driving to establish an American Empire also. However, despite his mouthing "Christian" motivations, the only people who stand to benefit from his Alexander-like ambitions are his family, the Republican party hierarchy and it's biggest supporters. In other words, it would appear his true motivations are personal gain. So whose motivations better fit the definition of "evil"?
